The Tough Steps To Success – Part 2

Why are the steps to success so tough?

Because every time you move forward, you must leave the familiar behind.

Author and motivator Brian Tracy said it this way, “You can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something new.”

Why then do so many take those tough steps?

Because that is where success lives. If you want success, it’s there for the taking; but you have to move from where you are to where success is.

I once heard Andy Andrews say, “God provides food for the birds, but He doesn’t throw worms in the nests.”

Why must you keep your focus forward?

Because the natural response to potential defeat is retreat.

Success expert Napoleon Hill wrote, “Every person who wins in any undertaking must be willing to cut all sources of retreat.”

Why can’t you look ahead in fear?

Because if you never try you have no chance at success.

In my book The Leadership GPS Michael Tennyson said, “The one who stays on the shore because there might be waves, will be the one who waves from the shore at the ship returning full of fish.”

Are you ready to take the tough steps to success?
